No prior experience is required for passengers, and the crew provides a safety briefing and riding instruction before heading out. Drivers must meet the tour's current licensing/permit requirements.

Will we see whales or orcas?

Maybe — and that's part of the magic. The photos on this site are from real encounters, but wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Animals choose where they go; guides respond to conditions responsibly.

What happens if it rains?

Welcome to Southeast Alaska. Tours can operate in a range of conditions, and protective gear is provided. Safety comes first, so routes, departures or tours can change when conditions require it.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable warm layers beneath the supplied drysuit. Avoid bulky cotton when possible and come prepared for cool marine conditions, even on sunny days.

Is this a cruise-ship-friendly excursion?
